Do You Produce Fake Results? | The Relationship Economy…… http://tinyurl.com/n7p8fo

I am excited to see someone who is talking about conversation to create results, I actually call it “conversating”. I would like to hear more about your methodology and the value propostion to both sides of the desk.
Results are produced from having the best position with the client, position is developed by conversating with the client about what is important to them, the conversation is earned by being true to the sales profession as a vocation instead of selling our solution because it is what we have to conversate about.
I want to hear more about your ideas on this subject. I am not sure how I will see that there is an extended thread, so feel free to email me at [email protected]. Good Selling,

Jay, you have hit the nail on the head. I am, until recently I might add, a successful salesman. Over the years I have developed some superb relationships with both key and secondary clients alike, I rely on these relationships to be able to deliver a vision and road map in terms of the technologies I sell. This engagement has developed, in some cases, a strategic partnership with a plan to build and expand the clients business architecture by x% over the course of a number of years utilizing a strategy that we co-develop with them.

During economically sound times I was praised for the work that I did, however, when a customer turns to me and hand on heart exclaims that they simply can’t go ahead with a certain project no matter the commercial aid that I can wrap around it, what more can I do? Force them to buy or else…? My business seems to be only interested in the 30% growth they ‘expect’ from me, “If you don’t hit your number you’ll be on a performance review…” is a phrase I have heard all to often recently. Enough is enough, stop chasing a number, they have now lost me as well as a number of other colleagues to either competitors or other industries. It seems their GDP growth this year is going to be from staff leaving rather than increased sales… but maybe that’s what they wanted all along. There needs to be a reality check, sure I could have falsified records for them to ‘prove’ that I was doing as much as I could.. but honestly, where is that going to get them?

Jay,
You have captured the absolute truth of what is important in media. Authentic success is based on providing good services, excellent products, and useful experiences for people to grow or to aid in their lives. The rest is just stuff egos are made of. Social media is a very useful tool for finding best resources, people, and ideas, but it is not a name it and claim it economy. Like all truly worthwhile venues, it takes wisdom as well as talent, and I would personally wish for a selfless intent to utilize its gifts appropriately.
Regards,
Sweetie Brerry
