The Cyclone Of Creativity

by Jay Deragon on 10/12/2009

yesyoucanI like experiencing the creativity of what people do and create.  Recently myself, David Bullock and Laurie Ruff were invited to speak at a conference hosted by Cyclone Creative.

The principals found us all on the web, saw our work and asked us to come speak to their market. As an advertising, marketing and public relations firm Cyclone Creative had been learning the power of all things social. Subsequently they wanted to create an experience where they could share what they were learning with their market.

Experience & Environment Make For Quality Presentations

I’ve done a lot of public speaking over the last 20+ years and you never really know how well organized an event is, the quality of the host or the design of the experience until you arrive to do your presentation. When a host goes beyond your expectation it is a delight for the speaker which only helps the quality of what you are presenting.

cyclone event me on stageCyclone Creative is in Toronto, Canada. Prior to physically going to the event I had numerous calls with the principals of Cyclone and we did several iterations of my presentation. Cyclone took three different presentations and molded them into one. The creative work provided was beyond my expectations. When I arrived I walked into their offices and was impressed with the decor and professionalism. Then they took me to their presentation room. The room was large enough to hold over 300 people. They had two white 25 foot walls adjacent to each other where they were planning to project our presentations.  They had tables set up for attendees to stand and converse with each other prior to the actual event and after wards. They had catered  H’ordeuvres and drinks for the attendees and to say the environment was first class does not do the experience justice.

David, Laurie and I were able to do a dry run of our presentation prior to the start of the event. Cyclone had created opening video’s prior to each of us speaking and added animation to our presentations with music, graphics and unique content which only made each of us look the best we could.

Below is a short clip of the event and you can expect many more to follow as Cyclone Creative does what they do best, create experiences beyond expectations.
