A man decided that if God knows and sees everything then certainly he would read my blog. He pondered about the scripture that said “Ask and you shall receive” and decided he would ask God one request.
So he wrote a post, “Dear Lord grant me one wish.” The man said, “Make the internet seamless, productive and enable me, the buyer, to simply make one request to the market and have them respond to me with the best deal.” Also, please take down all the silos of connectivity so me and my friends can collaborate seamlessly with all markets and people of similar interest.”
The Lord said, “Your request is very materialistic. Think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The technological support required to remove all current barriers is enormous! The ego’s of leaders who would appose the “openness” you are asking for ! I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for such things. I have anointed men whose minds know of such things and they are already using knowledge and wisdom provided by me to enable such things. I will not nor cannot meddle in the minds of men rather I can only allow free will to rein. Take a little more time and think of another wish that I can fulfill, a wish you think would honor and glorify me.”
The man thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, “Lord, I wish that I could understand women. I want to know how they feel inside, what they are thinking when they give me the silent treatment, why they cry, what they mean when they say ‘nothing’, and how I can make a woman truly happy.”
The Lord replied, “Let me call Doc Searls and see if I can help his vision of a seamless internet become reality”
The internet will change a lot of things but not all things.
